Post subject: No output to a redirected epson 325 printer - generic driver

I work in the install group for a Bank Teller Application. I am attempting to install an Epson 325 with a USB connection to a Wyse Terminal Device, then redirect that printer session to a Windows 2008 x64 based Terminal Server. We use a serial to usb emulator to allow the printer to pass the jobs to a com port assigned in the emulator and then for the generic printer driver. This has worked in every other thin client network we've ever had. But, for this one, the generic printer seems to be redirected ok, but no output is printed. The paper even advances, but nothing is printed. Our teller application only looks for a name specified in an application parameter which corresponds to the name given to the printer on the workstation/terminal server. So, I'm confident that once the redirection issue is resolved, our app will print fine. We're scratching our heads on this one. Any ideas?
